This inspection should be completed after the house wrap, windows, doors, and most wall penetrations are installed, but before veneer or siding is applied. The Housewrap & Flashing Inspection is a visual inspection of the home’s above-grade drainage plane. It includes a ground-level review of the house wrap and flashing installation. The house wrap will be checked to ensure it is properly secured, lapped, and taped. Flashing will be inspected around penetrations, windows, doors, and porch or patio intersections. Some flashing systems may be outside the scope of this inspection due to installation timing or limited roof visibility. A detailed report of any issues found will be sent to builder.

Testing is performed at rough or near-final stage after HVAC trim is installed and all supply boots and returns are sealed to drywall. The inspection uses a specially designed waterproof camera on a rigid push cable that can traverse multiple plumbing bends in one run to check for any blockages, damage or other issues.

Inspection one is the pre drywall inspection, which will occur after insulation and prior to the installation of drywall. The purpose of this inspection is to document and verify components of the buildings thermal envelope. Information collected during this visit will be used to validate compliance with applicable energy efficiency standards and to support the final HERS rating calculation.Trip two is the final HERS inspection.This inspection will include blower door and duct leakage performance testing and final verification of installed systems, lighting, appliances and model numbers. All collected data will be incorporated in the final HERS rating analysis and report.
