Energy Star certification pricing includes three inspection visits, all required submissions and processing for the Energy Star certificate, and completion of a Manual J and HVAC documentation. The first inspection occurs prior to sheetrock installation to collect thermal envelope data and verify compliance with the Energy Star checklist. The second inspection includes a full code compliance review, Duct Blaster testing, and placement or delivery of the energy code label required to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy (CO). The third inspection takes place after HVAC startup and includes all final Energy Star verifications, such as exhaust fan airflow, fresh air intake, room pressure balancing, and appliance model number documentation. Energy Star Plan Review and Checklist Verification begins prior to construction and is completed after the final inspection. The final Ekotrope model is completed and submitted to RESNET, builder checklists are verified in accordance with Energy Star guidelines, and an Energy Star Certified Home certificate is issued. Note: A HERS rating is included with every Energy Star certification.
